Pen Refill Size Guide: Common Pen Refill Types
Pen refills come in several shapes, lengths, and ink formats. Some are widely used across many pen brands, while others are proprietary and only fit specific pens. If you are trying to identify a refill, start by comparing the length, shape, tip style, and rear section of your current refill.
Parker-Style G2 Refills
Parker-style G2 refills are one of the most common refill formats for retractable and twist-action pens. They are usually about 98 mm long and are available in ballpoint, gel, hybrid, and pressurized versions. Do not confuse Parker-style G2 refills with Pilot G2 gel refills, which are a different format.
Pilot G2-Style Gel Refills
Pilot G2-style gel refills are commonly used in Pilot G2 pens and some compatible capped or retractable gel pens. They are longer than Parker-style G2 refills and are not interchangeable with Parker-style refills, even though both names include “G2.”
Pentel EnerGel Refills
